Google ,Yahoo and Microsoft united for building Technology to solve real world issues

Three software giants Microsoft ,Yahoo and Google united to develop technologies which helps to resolve real world issues. This is the news reported by Cnet that there was conference held on the week end. In association with the above three companies ,representative from NASA,World Bank, and PR agency SecondMuse were present on the tech event. The major discussion was about the invention of new technologies to aid people when they are in natural calamities and cannot use the normal communication medias.

There were many new ideas and tools explained and the first prize went to the NASA team.It was for a mobile notification application that can be used when regular cellular networks are down and people cannot make phone calls. This tool help to send a message "I am OK" to pre selected addresses when they are unable to make a phone call or other SMS. Any way it is nice movement where all major technology providers united to develop tools and technology which can help humans in calamities.
