HTML5 is about to get universal acceptance but for flash it is the end. Since HTML5 is offering most of the features of flash, Adobe thinks users won't need flash anymore. Due to this Adobe has decided to discontinue their works on flash for mobile devices. However, they are still going on for their flash desktop applications. Due to the ability of HTML5 to create and deploy content in the mobile browsers Adobe decides to support major HTML5 players to bring high quality flash features to it.
In a recent blog post Adobe declared their future plans about flash for mobile devices. Upcoming release of Flash Player 11.1 for BlackBerry PlayBook and Android will be the last flash player for the mobile devices. After this Adobe will concentrate fixing the bugs and security updates for this version. Adobe does not say anything about their flash player for desktops. That means Adobe may continue their works for desktop flash player. It was predicted that HTML5 would replace Adobe Flash player very early.

It couldn't understand "adobe vs html5" that is discussing in the internet, here and there, especially, when jobs declared that the outstanding tablet, ipad, won't support adobe. I have an impression of adobe that it can play any videos with different video format, in opposite, html5 supports h.246 (According browser publishers’ will) someone thought html5 should take 10 years before replacing adobe in the areas like games, desktop widgets, e-learning interactivities and many applications that require advanced animation API or techniques. As ifunia lists in their official website, html5 can’t replace adobe at once, because “74% of the web can't be seen on the iPad” (that means you have to convert videos by 3rd-party video converter like ifunia and handbrake), ipad needs help, let alone html5! So, adobe is necessary for our digital life all the same.
