Change Wireless Network Name (SSID) On D-Link Router and Hide Network

One week ago, one of my friends called me to fix wireless network issues at his home. He complained he was getting good signals and connected properly to his wireless network but after a while his computer automatically disconnecting. I asked him whether he was connected to the right network. His answer was yes. He told me he was using D-Link router and the wireless network name (SSID) was dlink. He was pretty sure, his laptop was connected to the right network since the SSID was the same name configured on his D-Link router. I asked him to switch off the router and check if he could connect to it. He did the same and told me yes. Still he was connected. His computer was connected to another unsecured connection with the same SSID. To avoid this type of mistakes it is better you change the default Wireless Network Name set by the router manufacturer and give a unique name. To change the SSID on D-Link Wireless Router, follow the steps below.

A Network Cable is Unplugged

One of the common network error message you may get in your daily life is "A network cable is unplugged". As compared to other error messages we discussed before, this message is not a big deal. You may get the error message A network cable is unplugged mostly due to the improper connection between the Ethernet port on your computer and the networking device (Eg: Router, Hub etc). In most cases simple loose connection is the reason. If you are connected to Internet by a wireless connection, this alert can confuse you. One of my friend told me even if he is connected to the wireless network, he gets this alert. He was really surprised because he could go online even if he was getting this alert. Anyway I am not going to beating around the bush. Major reasons to get the alert A network cable is unplugged are listed below.
