How To Use Reliance Jio Free SIM in 3G Or Ordinary Phones Doesn't Support 4G LTE

For the past few weeks I have received many inquiries from our readers regarding whether they can use Reliance Jio SIM in 3G Smart Phones or in an ordinary Mobile Handset. Many of them tried the video tutorials available in YouTube to convert ordinary smartphones which does not support 4G LTE to support Reliance Jio network and use the free Data offered by Jio network on it. As expected, none of them worked and they wanted to know whether any special trick to convert ordinary Mobile handset to support free Reliance Jio SIM. I found it difficult to answer all of the messages by our readers individually, so I am answering all their questions in this post. I understand the reason for so many enquiries to convert ordinary smartphones to make fit for Reliance Jio network network. Jio team has announced their Jio Happy New Year Offer which offers free Data and Voice to all their customers and many believe they will extend the free Jio Data service even after the offer validity period.

How to Hack Broadband

Why does Reliance Jio SIM Not Working in 3G Phone

Before trying for tricks and tweaks to make fit an ordinary 3G smartphone to use free Reliance Jio SIM, you must understand why an ordinary phone does not pick up Jio network on it. Reliance Jio is a 4G only network and it does not support 3G and 2G Mobile handsets. In a nutshell if your Mobile phone does not work on 4G LTE network, theoretically it cannot work on Jio network. I have seen many Android Apps which claim to convert ordinary 3G Mobile Phone to 4G LTE phone but I really doubt about their claims. Some of them I experimented failed to fulfil their claims. Despite of it, I cannot encourage our readers to download and install Apps which claims to convert 3G Phones to support 4G LTE network due to many security reasons. However, there are some alternative tips to ordinary smartphone users whose phones do not support Reliance Jio 4G network to smart use this network on their phones.

How to Use Reliance Jio Free Network On Ordinary Phones

If you are not willing to buy  a 4G smartphone, you can try one of the following tips to use your ordinary old Mobile Phones to use free Data service offered by Jio SIM.

  1. Buy JioFi 4G Hotspot

One of the best options to use free Reliance Jio Data on your ordinary Mobile Handset is to purchase a JioFi 4G Hotspot. This WiFi hotspot will receive 4G LTE network from Reliance Jio and you can connect maximum 10 devices to this network including your old smartphones. By the help of this WiFi hotspot, you can still use your 3G and 2G Smartphones with Reliance Jio network including free data and voice calls. You can buy this device from the following site.
