Railway Junior Engineer (JE) in Information Technology (IT) Selection Process

Gayatri Gopinath, a B.Tech student in Computer Science, inquired about the selection process. Let me answer it here. It is a technical (Group C) post under Indian Railways, recruited through Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). The selection process typically consists of two main stages:

  1. CBT 1 (Screening): Focuses on Non-Technical subjects like Mathematics, Reasoning, and General Science.

  2. CBT 2 (Selection): Focuses on Technical Abilities, General Awareness, and Basic Computer Applications.

What Are The Duties of a Junior Engineer (IT) in Indian Railways?
