To become an officer in Central Bureau of Investigation ( CBI ) is a dream of many youth in India. Though this elite investigation agency is popular among public, many do not know the procedure to join CBI as an officer. Where to Apply

If you are dreaming to become an Officer in CBI, you must pass the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL ) conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in every year. You must wait for the next SSC CGL notification and prepare for the same. It is a 4 tier examination which includes two online objective type exams and one descriptive type using pen and paper. Age Limit

The age limit to apply for Sub Inspector in Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI ) is 20-30 years. Earlier the upper age limit for general category candidates to apply for SI  post in CBI was 27 but now it is revised to 30 years. For OBC category, the upper age limit to join CBI as Sub Inspector is 33 and for SC/ST category, it is 35 years.

The salary scale of Sub Inspector in CBI is 9300 – 34800 Indian Rupees per month and the CBI Inspector lies with in the Grade Pay of 4200 Rupees and the total in hand salary per month is 44000 Indian Rupees.


Exam Pattern Of Sub Inspector in CBI

To become a Sub Inspector in Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI ), you must pass SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam. There are four stages in Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL ) conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Only after the successful completion of all 4 stages, you can join as sub Inspector in CBI.

Exam Fee & Date of Examination

CBI officer aspirants must go though the SSC CGL examination conducted in every year. Exam fee for general category male candidates is 100 Indian Rupees and there is no fee for females and SC/ST category. Date of examination will be notified in SSC exam calendar.
