Today, I will share the transcript of a recent webinar conducted by CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions with the GJR SSC Coaching Center in Delhi.
This webinar addressed the questions from students from all over India about how to become a CBI officer after graduation.
GJR SSC Coaching Center is a client of CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions. We developed custom software and network applications to ensure the smooth operation of their coaching centers.
The webinar was on Wednesday. Hanna Maria and I, from CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions, joined an experienced team from the GJR SSC Coaching Center. A total of 120 registered students attended the webinar.
How To Become a CBI Officer?
Anna Mary John from Kottayam asked the first question. She asked, "Hello, sir. I am a third-year B.Tech student in Computer Science and Engineering. I want to learn how to become a CBI officer after completing B.Tech."
Suresh Lal Malhotra, senior tutor at GJR SSC Coaching Center, answered her.
He answered, "You can choose two methods to become a CBI officer. The first method is to apply for the SSC CGL examination and become a CBI Sub Inspector. The second method is to pass the UPSC Civil Service Examination and choose IPS."
The Eligibility To Apply For the CBI Sub Inspector Examination
Vikas Kandara from Pune asked, "Can you tell me the eligibility criteria for applying for the Sub Inspector post in the Central Bureau of Investigation?"
Kunzes Dolma, a graduate in fashion technology, asked, "Is there any physical standard required for women candidates to become a CBI officer?"
Suresh Lal Malhotra answered, "Any Indian citizen between 20 and 30 having a valid Graduation can apply. For the CBI Sub Inspector post, the candidate must have the minimum physical standards."
Suresh also said SSC allows final-year degree students to apply for the Combined Graduate Level examination. However, SSC accepts degrees from only UGC-recognized Institutes.

Let me share some doubts students asked about the CBI officer selection procedure.
Amit Gupta, a BA 2nd year student from Gurugram, asked, "What is the recruitment procedure for a CBI Officer? What should I study for the examination?"
A few other students also inquired about the CBI officer selection process, and the tutors at the GJR SSC Exam Coaching Center answered.
Here, I will share the five stages of the CBI selection process.
Tier 1 Examination
Tier 2 Examination
Physical Standard Test
Document Verification
Medical Examination
After these five stages, SSC will publish the rank list.
CBI Sub Inspector Written Exam Syllabus
During the second half of the webinar, some students requested the syllabus for the Tier One and Two examinations.
I will share a question from one of the students who asked for it.
Chaman Singh Tomar, a BBA student from Surat, asked, "I am a final year BBA student from Surat. I wish to become an officer in the Central Bureau of Investigation. Can you share the CBI officer exam syllabus?"
I will share the screenshot of the exam pattern and syllabus here.
Check this screenshot for the exam syllabus, number of questions, time allotted, and the maximum mark for the tier one stage.

Now, I will share a screenshot of the CBI Sub-Inspector Tier 2 exam syllabus.

Before concluding today's article, let me share some more questions students who attended the webinar asked.
Akshat Kumar from Bengaluru asked, "I completed my degree from a private university in distance mode. Does SSC accept a distance degree certificate?"
Another student, Revathi Nair from Thiruvananthapuram, asked whether her IGNOU degree is valid. GJR SSC Coaching Institute answered both questions.
SSC accepts IGNOU degrees.
Suresh Lal Malhotra, the senior faculty, asked Akshat to check whether his private university has UGC recognition. If it is a UGC-recognized institute, the distance degree from that university is valid. Then, he can apply for the CBI officer recruitment test.
