LDC is a group C service which allows a person to work in his district. In most cases, he will get the chance to work near his home. It is because Kerala LDC exam is a district wise examination. Kerala PSC has invited applications for LDC in various Kerala Government Departments for those having minimum SSLC or equivalent qualification. According to the Gazette number 414/2016, you can apply for LD Clerk post in various government departments like revenue, education etc till 28-December-2016 midnight. You can see this latest LD Clerk recruitment notification under 'District-wise - Direct - General Notifications' and the possible examination date will be in June/July 2017. Total anticipated vacancies in 14 districts are around 12000 and the rank list will have 3 years validity.

Eligibility Criteria For Kerala LDC Exam 2016

SSLC or equivalent is the educational eligibility criteria for Kerala LDC. For those who have not this minimum qualification cannot attend the examination. Minimum and maximum age limit for the general category is 18 and 36 respectively. For OBC, those who are up to 39 years old can attend the exam. For SC/ST category, the upper age limit for LDC 2016 is 41 years. Other age relaxation details will be specified in the PSC notification.

How to Apply For Kerala LDC 2016 Exam

Candidates must apply for Lower Division Clerk through One Time Profile on Kerala PSC official website. Link to official website is and you must click on One Time Registration. You must use the user id and password to login the website. If you are using this website for the first time, you need to create a profile first by following the instructions provided on the page. You will find the exam notification under notification area.

Kerala LDC Exam Pattern and Syllabus

It is an OMR based examination which includes 100 objective type questions. The examination is for 75 minutes. The medium of Kerala LDC test is Malayalam. One correct answer will get one mark but for the wrong answer, you will get negative marks. 0.33 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer you mark. There are no negative marks for unanswered questions.

Cut Off mark for your district is determined by the difficulty level of the question paper, number of candidates appeared the examination, approximate vacancies, overall scoring by candidates etc. To predict your chances, it is better analyse the cut off marks for LDC exams conducted in previous years.
