How to Access Blocked Websites On Reliance Jio 4G Network?

For the last few days, I have been facing issues with opening some websites on my computer using Reliance Jio 4G network. My Internet connection is fine but while accessing some websites, JioFi prevents them from opening. I do understand that most of the free movie websites and torrents download sites are blocked in our country as per the directions from TRAI. However, I am facing issues with websites that are accessible through other Internet Service Providers. Anyway, I resolved the issue by myself and this post is based on my troubleshooting steps which helped to access the sites which were blocked before.

Why Do Some Websites Are Not Opening On Jio 4G Network?

There are two reasons (mainly) which prevent a website from accessing through Reliance Jio 4G Network. One of them is the TRAI's regulation. For example, most of the popular torrents sites are banned in India as per the guidelines from TRAI ( Telecom Regulatory Authority of India).

Reliance Jio has to comply with TRAI's regulations and cannot let anyone access those URLs through their network. In such cases, Reliance Jio Internet Service will show you a similar message.

Some websites are blocked on Jio Network

Another reason is the Jio Network DNS issues. If the domain is not showing on your computer due to the DNS error of Jio 4G network, you may see a similar page.

Apart from these two major reasons, there are some other reasons like browser cache issues, the probable chance of using blacklisted IP address etc can prevent JioFi from opening sites on your device. The possible reasons are listed below.
  1. Issues With Default DNS Servers of Jio 4G LTE Network

  2. Jio 4G LTE Network Blocked the domain as Per Government Directions

  3. Software Issues like Browser Cache issues or Firewall issues

  4. The website has banned the IP Address provided by Jio 4G

Once you have found out the real reason which prevents your device from opening a domain, you can simply unblock that address.

  2. Getting Reply From Global DNS Address

How To Open Blocked Websites On Jio 4G Network?

To unblock a blocked website in Jio 4G LTE network, you should try the following solutions.
  1. Solving Browser Related Issues
Clear browser cache and try to reload the page. You may also try to open the URL on private browse page (incognito page in Google Chrome) or try a different browser.

  2. Try to Access SSL version of the URL
If you are lucky, you may be able to reach the web page by using the https version of the URL instead of the http version.

For example, if the address is blocked, you may be able to reach the same page by trying the https version ( ).

  3. Disable Firewall
If you have installed any security software which has the ability to control web traffic, you must disable them and try to access the blocked website.

For example, if you have installed a firewall on your device, disable it for few minutes and try to open the domain name which was not opening through Jio 4G Network.

  4. Solve Reliance Jio Default DNS Server Issues
As I explained before, if the DNS server of JioFi is faulty, you may be prevented from accessing certain sites unintentionally. If it is the situation, the best solution is to use a better DNS server provided by Google or Open DNS.

If you wish to change Jiofy DNS address with a better DNS, follow the instructions provided in the link below.

  5. Use Opera Web Browser to Bypass Jio Ban

Opera browser provides free and unlimited VPN services for its users. You can activate the free VPN on the Opera browser to open blocked websites in India.

To activate free Opera VPN, follow the steps below.

    • Click on the Opera browser Easy Setup link on the right-hand top of the window

    • Click on Go to browser settings link at the bottom of the menu

    • Tun on the Enable VPN button

  6. Use Puffin Browser
Puffin browser allows you to browse through Jio blocked websites. If you are from a nontechnical background, it is the easiest solution to avoid Jio URL blocks. You can download the Puffin browser by visiting the link below.

  7. Use VPN to Access Blocked Sites
Most of the popular torrent and free movie downloading sites are blocked on Reliance Jio 4G network. If you try to reach a torrents site to download a film, you will see a warning which tells you are not authorized to access that page.

So if you wish to access a banned movie live stream site or a torrents download site on Reliance Jio 4G wireless network, follow the steps provided in the link below.

Hello friends, it is not a Jio problem at all. The government of India has banned porn websites in India. Reliance Jio has to comply with the government ban. So you cannot blame Jio for it. To load porn sites through Jio, you have to try web-based proxy services.
