How to Access Blocked Websites On Reliance Jio Mobile Network?

Last Updated:-July 24, 2024

For the last few days, I have been having issues opening a handful of websites on my computer using the Reliance Jio 4G network. My Internet connection is fine, and I can open most websites.

But while accessing some websites, JioFi prevents them from opening. I understand that most of the free movie websites and torrent download sites are blocked in our country by the directions from TRAI.

However, these websites are accessible through other Internet Service Providers.

Anyway, I resolved it by myself, and this post explains the troubleshooting steps that helped me access the sites blocked before.

Why Do Some Websites Are Not Opening On Jio 5G Network?

Let me explain four main reasons that prevent a website from accessing by Reliance Jio Network.

  1. TRAI's Regulation

One of them is the TRAI's regulation. For example, ISPs banned the most popular torrent sites in India as per the guidelines from TRAI.

TRAI = Telecom Regulatory Authority of India

Reliance Jio has to comply with TRAI's regulations and cannot let anyone access those URLs through their network.

If the website you are trying to open is on the TRAI blacklist, Reliance Jio Internet Service will show you the following message.

  2. JioDNS Error

The second reason is the Jio Network DNS issues. If the domain is not showing on your computer due to the DNS error of the Jio 5G network, you may see a similar page.

If you receive that error page, follow the instructions in the link below to fix it.

  3. Software Issues like Browser Cache and Firewall issues can prevent a computer from loading websites.

  4. The website has banned the IP Address provided by Jio Network.

Once you find out the real reason which prevents your device from opening a domain, you can unblock that address.

How To Open Blocked Websites On Jio 5G Network?

Try the following steps to unblock a blocked website in the Jio 5G LTE network. If you are sure the domain name you want to open is in the Jio banned domain list, skip to step 5.

  1. Solving Browser-Related Issues

Clear the browser cache and try to reload the page. You may also try to open the URL on a private browse page (incognito page in Google Chrome) or try a different browser.

  2. Try to Access the SSL version of the URL

If you are lucky, you may be able to reach the web page by using the https version of the URL instead of the http version.

For example, if the address http://www.corenetworkz.com is blocked, you may try to reach the same page by the https version ( https://www.corenetworkz.com ).

  3. Disable Firewall

If you have installed any security software that can control web traffic, you must disable them and try to access the blocked website.

For example, if you have installed a firewall on your device, disable it for a few minutes and try to open the domain name.

  4. Solve Reliance Jio Default DNS Server Issues

As I explained before, if tJioFi's DNS server is faulty, you may be prevented from accessing certain sites unintentionally. If this is the situation, the best solution is to use a better DNS server provided by Google or Open DNS.

If you wish to change the JioFi DNS address with a better DNS, follow the instructions below.

  5. Use Opera Web Browser to Bypass Jio Ban

Opera browser provides free and unlimited VPN services for its users. You can activate the free VPN on the Opera browser to open blocked websites in India.

To activate the free Opera VPN, follow the steps below.

    • Click the Opera browser Easy Setup link on the right-hand top of the window.

    • Click the Go to browser settings link at the bottom of the menu.

    • Turn on the Enable VPN button.

  6. Use Puffin Browser

Puffin browser allows you to browse the blocked websites on Reliance Jio network. If you are from a nontechnical background, it is the easiest solution to avoid Jio URL blocks. You can download the Puffin browser by visiting the link below.

  7. Use VPN to Access Blocked Sites

Most popular torrent and free movie downloading sites are blocked on Reliance Jio 5G. If you try to reach a torrent site to download a film, you will see a warning that tells you -you are not authorized to access that page.

So if you wish to access a banned movie live stream site or a torrent download site on Reliance Jio 5G wireless network, follow the steps by visiting the link below.

Sir, Can you suggest the best free proxy software works for Jio to access blocked websites?

I have no intention to pay money to VPN services offered by foreign companies due to the wrong decision took by our government.

Hello friends, it is not a Jio problem at all. The government of India has banned porn websites in India. Reliance Jio has to comply with the government ban. So you cannot blame Jio for it. To load porn sites through Jio, you have to try web-based proxy services.
