  1. Type Control Panel on Windows Search

  2. Select View by  Large Icons from the drop-down menu

  3. Click on Network and Sharing Center

  4. Click on the Wi-Fi connection

  5. Click on Properties button

  6. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties button

  7. Select the radio button Use the Following DNS Server Addresses
  8. Type
    • Preferred DNS Server:
    • Alternate DNS Server:

  9. Click OK button

How to Assign DNS Address To Windows XP Computer
  1. Click on start
  2. Go to control panel
  3. If your control panel is in classic view click on Network Connections
  4. Right click on your respective Local Network or Wireless network icon
  5. Click on properties
  6. Select Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)
  7. Click on the properties button
  8. Now select the following option" Use the following DNS server address"

    Assign to Windows XP
  9. Click OK

hi I am facing same issue with Windows7 & I followed your instructions but still having same issue. I have installed Avast antivirus & I am using DSL connection with wireless router.
