I can't seem to get my site authenticated using the META-TAG. I'm on Blogger (blogspot).

Yes I understand your issue.You may get parsing error or some thing like that while saving the html code with Bing meta tag.

The solution.

You need to degrade your blogger template to classic version and add meta tag on the header. After verification you can revert back to previous template.

Or you can use an html to XML converter service to parse the meta tag to corresponding xml format. To get this service search in google with the keyword
