Facebook wants Small Businesses to Use FB Ads in addition to Like Pages

Most of the small businesses know the power of online marketing including SEO,SEM, PPC etc. An up to date business executive knows the potential of online presence and many companies successfully owned their own Facebook fan pages(Facebook Like Page) with thousands of likes. They know they can effectively market their products via those Facebook like pages. Now Facebook plans to teach small business owners to utilize the potential of Facebook to reach customers beyond the Like page. Facebook wants every small business owners to enjoy the benefits offered by Facebook ads. According to some reports 9.2 million businesses(estimated) that currently have Facebook pages (Like Page) to promote their products. Now Facebook wants these potential small business holders to use Facebook ad slots to promote their business.

Facebook plans to partner with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) to utilize the potential small business owners to use Facebook ads. To do this they need to teach small business owners about the potential of Facebook ads to bring more customers for their business.

As a promotion, Facebook plans to provide $50 discount for smaller business holders who wish to participate in Facebook ads. It is estimated that about 200,000 small businesses can utilize this offer.

I think FB Ads are a great way to have targeted traffic other than FB Page because the ads will only show to people based on their interest.
