To complete an online money transfer using RTGS or NEFT through your State Bank of India (SBI) net banking account, the first step is to add an Inter-Bank Beneficiary. Once the bank activates the beneficiary, you can begin transferring funds.
Today, I will explain how to create, modify, and delete an SBI Netbanking Beneficiary.
Is There An Option to Edit SBI Beneficiary Details?
The beneficiary option in net banking allows users to securely and efficiently transfer funds to other bank accounts by pre-registering them as recipients.
However, mistakes can happen from the customer side. Anil Kumar, an SBI bank PO, said, "Many customers make mistakes such as entering incorrect beneficiary details during the setup process."
Anil Kumar continued, "SBI allows customers to edit the beneficiary details. Customers can change the IFSC Code of Beneficiary in SBI Netbanking and even the account number."
This article explains how to modify or delete a beneficiary in your SBI account in just a few minutes. The same procedure also applies if you receive a notification that you've reached the maximum number of beneficiaries while trying to add a new one.

You have learned how to add inter-bank beneficiaries in SBI Personal accounts.
Rahim Abdulla, a reader of CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions, asked if there are restrictions in adding beneficiaries to his savings account.
Yes, there are limitations. Let me explain them.
There are limits to the number of beneficiaries you can add. Recently added beneficiaries may have limited transaction amounts during the first few days.
I recommend you read this official document from the State Bank of India regarding the restrictions in adding, modifying, and deleting beneficiaries.
Modify an SBI Netbanking Beneficiary Details
A few readers asked if they could change the details of a beneficiary already approved by the SBI. Aswathi Perumal, a housewife from Chennai, asked, "Hello Alex, I saved the wrong address while creating a new beneficiary. Can I change it?"
The answer is yes.
We can edit the beneficiary details at any time. Let me explain the steps here. Follow the previous instructions until step 5.

Click the Modify link and edit the beneficiary details like address, IFSC code, and other bank account details. You can tap the 'Show Details' button to view the beneficiary details.
How To Delete Beneficiary in SBI?
Bijoy Gauda, a marketing executive from Mangaluru, asked, "My SBI personal account has too many previous saved beneficiaries. Can I remove them myself?"
You can remove it if you no longer need to keep a beneficiary in your SBI net banking account.
I suggest you follow the instructions until step 5.

Click the Delete button and choose the beneficiary you want to remove. Follow the instructions to complete the process.
Thank you for such a helpful post. I wanted remove a few person's account numbers added in SBI beneficiaries and I wasted a week to check how to remove them from beneficiary list. Thanks to you I have removed them.
