My regular readers are aware that CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions has been an active news portal since 2009. Google was our primary traffic source till the infamous HCU update.
Google HCU update decimated many good blogs.
Though HCU affected us, CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions retained decent traffic until last week.
I noticed a sudden drop in Google traffic and checked for the reasons. Initially, I thought Google might have released another Search Rank update.
But that was not the case this time.
Instead of a new Google Search Rank update, I noticed Google removed a large number of posts from its index.
URL Inspection Tool Shows Redirect Error
I took one deindexed post URL and checked it using the Google URL Inspection Tool in Search Console.
It showed "URL is not on Google - Page is not indexed: Redirect Error." I uploaded the screenshot for my readers.

I checked the URL because Google deindexed it. I used the REQUEST INDEXING button to reindex the page. So far, Google has not indexed this post.
Page is not indexed: Redirect error
Let us check what this means. According to Google documentation, 'Page is not indexed: Redirect Error' means Googlebot tried to crawl the URL but got redirected. So it could not reach the final destination properly.
Which means the URL shows a redirect loop error. I tested with multiple tools but failed to detect a redirect loop.

You can check the result of a test conducted using https://httpstatus.io/, a redirect checker.
What Bloggers Say About Google Page Indexing Issue - Redirect Error?
I asked other webmasters about their experiences with this issue in our support forum.
Hardika Sejpal, a travel blogger from Mumbai, said, "I saw a spike in numbers of deindexed pages in Google Search Console. The reason was a redirect error."
She continued, "I am using affiliate programs to earn from my travel blog. I think Google has issues with blogs using affiliate programs to monetize."
Hardika shared my experience and wondered what else she could do to make Google reindex those pages.
Laurence Booth, a regular reader of CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions, suggested, "Hello Alex, your blog is on the Blogger platform. I recommend you change it to WordPress."
I understand that Laurence has a point. Blogger indeed has a mobile redirection issue that I explained in one of the previous posts published on CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions.
But, this time, I do not think that is the reason. The online tool https://httpstatus.io/ displayed the status code 200.
Lee Jones, one SEO consultant from New York City, mentioned, "Hello Alex, the 'Page is not indexed: Redirect error' is a common thing after the Google HCU update. Google is simply giving an excuse to remove most organic content from their index. Google does not need publishers like you or me. It has everything and shows them at Generative AI answers."
How To Fix Page is not indexed: Redirect Error?
As a Blogger Theme developer and programmer, the first step I recommend is checking the affected page URLs with redirect checkers.
I already mentioned one tool, https://httpstatus.io, for that. If it returns a redirect error, you must rectify it. Then, resubmit the URL to Google Search Console with the URL Inspection tool.
If it does not work, I suggest adding a few internal links to this page from other posts. If possible, create a few backlinks from external web pages with similar topics.
