How to Configure Huawei MT882 CPE on your computer

Huawei MT882 is a modem with DHCP function. To configure it we need to follow the steps below.

Configure Huawei MT882 CPE

1. Connect your computer to the modem(Huawei MT 882) using an Ethernet cable

2. Power on the modem

3. Open Internet Explorer and type 192.168.1.1

4. You will be prompted for a user name and password.

User name = admin
password = admin

5. When you log in under home you can see WAN settings

6. The WAN type would be PPP

7. The connection type would be PPPOE

8. Enter the username and password provided by the ISP

9. Set the maximum idle time

10. Click apply and save

11. You may need to restart the Modem for proper working.
