How to Start WLAN Autoconfig in Windows 7 and Vista Computer

In Windows 7 computers we cannot find Wireless Zero Configuration to manage your wireless network. It is removed from the introduction of Windows Vista. In Windows Vista and Windows 7 computers Wireless networks are managed by WLAN Autoconfig. You can find WLAN Autoconfig in services window. If you are not using any other wireless utility to manage your Wireless networks, Windows 7 use its default wireless management utility called WLAN Autoconfig. By starting WLAN Autoconfig in Windows 7 itself will fix majority of wireless connectivity issues in Windows 7 and Vista.

Steps to Start WLAN Autoconfig in Windows 7




To start WLAN Autoconfig follow the steps below:

1. Click on Start

2. Click on Run

In case if run command is not enabled in your start menu click on the link below.

Or instead of Run Command you can use the Windows 7 Search.

3. Type services.msc on Run Command or Search and press enter

Now the Services window will be opened.

4. Right click on wlan autoconfig

Click on Start to start Wlan Autoconfig in Windows 7 computer.
